ERA Rallycross Rookie of 2008

Article 1 - General

In each ERA Cup event a Rookie of the race will be nominated by the present  ERA-delegate. This driver must be not longer than 2 years in European Rallycross and must show a great performance.

After the season the ERA board will decide who of the nominated drivers will be the ERA Rallycross Rookie of  2008.

Article 2 - Awards

A trophy will be award to the ERA Rallycross Rookie of 2008. The ceremony is part of the prizegiving of the last ERA EC round of the year.

ERA Cup for drivers 2008

Article 1 - General Provisions

The ERA Cup for drivers will be organised for Division 1, 1A, 2 and FIA Rallycross Cup.

Article 2 - Number of Events

The events that will count for the ERA Cup for drivers will be appointed by the general assembly of the ERA, mentioned on page 4 of the ERA Regulations book 2008. Each event must be organised by an ERA member.

Article 3 - ERA Cup points

All drivers having won places in a final are eligible for ERA Cup points corresponding to the places being disputed in that final (incl. permitted drivers who do not start in the finals). All drivers gaining ERA Cup points in any of the mentioned rounds in article 2 will be automatically registered by the secretary of ERA.

ERA Cup points will be awarded at each round mentioned in article 2 according to the official signed final results of that round and to the following scale:

The driver having obtained at the end of the year the highest total of points in his division, will be declared ERA Cup winner of the division. A driver may not combine points gained in different divisions.

Note: If there is no C or B final in a division, the drivers who are not in the final but classified for a final, will be awarded with points according to their position after the qualification heats.

In case of two or more contenders tieing for an award in the ERA Cup, then the value of places (1st, 2nd etc.) from events taken into account will be used. If an event is abandoned or curtailed, points will be allocated on results up to the last completed heat.

Article 3.1 - Loss of ERA Cup points

1. Any driver who is absent from the unofficial or official prizegiving of an ERA Cup round will not be awarded with ERA Cup points and will not be eligible for trophies.

2. If a driver is excluded for an ERA Cup round in case that his car was not conform to the technical regulations (after final scrutineering), he will loose all already awarded ERA Cup points of the season and he will be excluded from the ERA Cup (in that division) for the current year. The other ERA Cup points' scorers will be upgraded.

3. If a driver is excluded in an ERA Cup round in case that he refuses to follow the rules for final scrutineering of his car after the final, he will loose all already awarded ERA Cup points and he will be excluded from the ERA Cup (in that division) for the current year. The other ERA Cup points' scorers will be upgraded.

Article 4 - Awards

Trophies in all 4 divisions of the ERA Cup will be awarded to the best drivers.

Article 5 - Drivers family-name

On the lower side of the left and right rear side windows of each competing car the drivers family name must be displayed with white characters of at least 6 cm and maximum 10 cm high together with his national flag.

Article 6 - ERA advertisement

For the ERA Cup the following places on the car will be left at the disposal of the ERA for advertising:

1. In top of the competition numbers a stroke of 50 cm width and 12 cm high.
2. In top of the front window 10 cm high.
3. The place of the regular front registration plate, 50 cm width, 12 cm high.

A driver who refuse to carry the ERA advertisement on his car will not receive ERA Cup points for that round.

The participating competitors starting new in 2008 should have the same starting numbers in all events.

Article 8 - Environmental regulations

1. NOISE: see FIA technical regulations for Rallycross cars.

2. Paddock areas must be left clean at all times. Waste fluids, spare parts, tyres or any other objects must be put back in the service-van. Should ground pollution occur, the crew is obliged to report all relevant details personally to the clerk of the course immediately.

3. Washing of cars is only allowed on a special carwash place in the paddock. The place is mentioned in the circuit safety plan.

4. When servicing the rallycrosscar, the car must stand on service foil (agricultural plastics etc.) of min. 3 x 5 meters. After the event the used service foil may not be left in the paddock area.

5. A container or other facility must be used at all times when there is a possibility of fuel-spillage.

6. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: Each driver is responsible for ensuring that a fire extinguisher (minimum 6 kg) is available within his own team's area inside the paddock.

Article 9 - Common regulations

1. Paddock space: For each driver a place of 120 m2 (15 x 8 m) will be reservated. All additional space (for motorhomes, etc.) must be arranged seperately and belongs to the decision of the organiser.

2. Paddock tickets: Every driver will receive a maximum of 8 free tickets (1 driver + 7 teammates) for those who need it. The tickets will be handed out only to present persons at the administrative check at each event.

Article 10 - Unofficial prizegiving and press conference of an ERA Cup event

The unofficial prize giving ceremony of each ERA Cup round will be organized directly after the A final of Division1.

All drivers taking part in an A final must come "ready to race" to the unofficial prizegiving. Absent drivers will not receive cups and prize money.

After the unofficial prize giving a press conference with the winning drivers of each Division will be organized. Details will be published in the drivers briefing.
